It’s such a coincidence how some things work out. I received an email from Elena, designer of Skinny Bags, saying that she spotted me at an LA Fashion Week event. It turns out that Elena and her husband had just released their handbag collection during Fashion Week. When I checked out her site I was instantly in love! Not too long ago a good friend gave me and Justin this amazing book, The Vegan Stoner Cookbook! Easy, cheap, and fast vegan grub! The best part about it is all of the little illustrations for each dish and every ingredient…absolutely adorable! They remind me of my little water color sketches. I’ve been wanting to try out a few recipes and finally decided on the vegan cream of shroom soup. I am so grateful to have such an amazing job and work with such awesome people! Life is Beautiful Festival, Las Vegas.

Moonlighting as something in Vegas seems like it may be a pretty common career choice. Working full time as a musician, I don’t always have the time to work as a visual artist, but just last week on one of my days off here in Vegas, I got called to create all of the signage for the Alchemy Gardens at the Life is Beautiful Festival! For being the premier year of this festival, they brought is some pretty amazing acts including Beck, Kings of Leon, Pretty Lights, Alabama Shakes, and The Killers. An all weekend celebration of music, food, beverage and art, I was honored to be asked to paint over 60 chalkboard signs!Continue reading…

Hollywood Lights

All those big city nights in those high rolling hills.

A night out in Hollywood calls for bohemian glam. After our first visit to Crossroads, LA’s newest hip vegan restaurant (and now my personal favorite), Justin and I hit the streets of Melrose Avenue and Sunset Boulevard to catch some shots under the neon lights that line the shops. Dressing for the evening actually was inspired by this amazing ring from Ara Nicole Boutique. I’m obsessed with oversize rings right now and this is definitely a favorite.Continue reading…

Freebie Halloweenie!

So it’s been a second since I’ve done a freebie post! I’ve had this image of these bohemian pumpkins in my head for a while from an image on Pinterest and figured I would actually be doing these little designs on the pumpkins themselves. I’ve been so busy here in Vegas for the past 3 weeks that I don’t foresee any type of pumpkin carving or decorating in the near future so I figured I’d do my own pumpkin decoration illustration. Three glasses of wine with dinner after a show apparently gives my great inspiration to make an illustration and do a blog post! Woo-hoo!

If you’re on your phone or iPad, click on the link below for your handheld device and the image will pop up on your screen. Hold down the image and save it to your camera roll then add it to your home screen, icon screen, etc. If you’re on your computer it will go right into your download folder.

Where can you use this art? I got just a slight glimpse of LA fashion week before heading to Vegas for the month.
