The Moon Made Me Do It

August 7, 2017

From the Mojave to the Sahara

I never would have thought that jumping on a plane to Europe for my first world tour with Italian artist Zucchero almost one year ago today would take me to all corners of the globe. I’m a desert bunnie through and through and found another desert haven only last week in Tunis, Tunisia. On the coast of the Baltic Sea and just the cusp of the Sahara Desert, I got a glimpse of other worldly sandscapes. Omar the camel took me on a beach walk and I successfully got lost and found my way out of the market of Medina. (The later is definitely not something I would recommend if you’re flying solo). This also happens to be the ten year anniversary week that I moved to Los Angeles AND on the day of a full moon. It couldn’t be more fitting for a Mysterioso Rock Art post photographed in my second home, the Joshua Tree desert. Cheers to world traveling, career success and ten years in a city that I’m proud to call home, Los Angeles.

Happy traveling, my bunnies!

Desert sun and buns

My home away from home, under the desert sun of Joshua Tree. The cities I have traveled to this summer on the European tour with Zucchero have been AMAZING, but I’m itchin to get to the coastline. To me there’s nothing more energizing than sand, sun and water. Joshua Tree is far from my thirst for a large body of water, but these photos sure do inspire me to jump on a beach in the South of France. And actually pretty similar to something I’d don on the beach (sans the glitter leggings and boots of course:) These little Nasty boy shorts from Mysterioso Rock Art can go from vacation mode, to music festival mode, to ‘I’m not leaving the hotel on my day off’ mode. I love the hand designed font on all of their apparel, and of course they’re printed onto super cozy fabrics.

I sure do love me some glitter leggings!

Stay nasty, my bunnies!

American Girl

July 4, 2017

Well, she was an American Girl, Raised on promises

It’s fourth of July. In France. No fireworks, bbq’s or American flag regalia for me this year…considering I’m in a country with a reputation towards American tourists and even more heightened by the clown that’s in charge of our country, I’m headed across the border to neutral Switzerland to jump on a boat in Lake Zurich. I can’t think of a better way to spend our county’s birthday across the pond. Back home in the US in the wild west of Joshua Tree, it can’t get more patriotic than denim, bandanas and Budweiser. At a liquor store. Happy Fourth y’all!

Band camp has been treating me well this summer!

“After all it was a great big world
With lots of places to run to
And if she had to die tryin’
She had one little promise she was gonna keep.”
