New Kicks and Bibs

Rock-a-Hoola abandoned waterpark, California.

2013.11-Rock-a-Hoola DSC_6965Justin and I are always on the lookout for new places to shoot. We’ve been eyeing this location for the past couple years every time we drive back and forth from Vegas. This past trip back from Vegas we had about a 40 minute time frame to pull off and find a location. There’s so many desolate places off the I-15 but this has to be the most unique.

The entire park is covered in graffiti and is so deserted and eeriely quiet that I let out a yelp when a beer can was picked up by the wind and tumbled across the sidewalk 100 yards away. My car was parked outside the gated park, and believe me I was ready to run if I had to.

I’ve been coveting some overalls since the beginning of this season and I finally decided to take the plunge. I found these Blank NYC bibs at Nordstrom while I was staying in Vegas. They’re stretchy denim and fit tighter than the typical overall but just loose enough to give it a slouchy feel. So comfortable they could double as PJ’s.

These sneakers are the only pair of sneakers that I own that are not my gym or tennis shoes. I’m a boot girl! But honestly, I think I’ve been converted. I’m in love with these Daddy’s Money high tops (with a hidden wedge) and definitely need to invest in a few more pairs.

We took a handful of Polaroids with the 440…one of Justin’s many Polaroid cameras that come on adventures with us.
