Skinny Bags redefines the classic clutch.

Not too long ago I had the pleasure of working with the owners of Skinny Bags, Elena and her husband Kiril, on a fashion post featuring this awesome Holy Bible clutch. During the shoot, we had a few cocktails at the bar a totally hit it off. They’re such an inspiring young couple and they’re taking their designer handbag line (that just launched this past fall) to the next level. Check out their kickstarter! It’s no secret that I have a slight obsession with boots. When I go on tour for a month at a time I literally pack an entire suitcase full of boots, no joke. When it gets warm in the summer I’ll wear the occasional sandal but mostly ensembles made up of daisy dukes, boots and sundresses. When I was introduced to this amazing handmade bohemian clothing and footwear company, I knew I had to do a feature on them! Gipsy Dharma not only designs the most unique handmade bohemian apparel but they construct everything with comfort in mind. Walking in a pair of Gipsy Dharmas is like walking barefoot. With these rad designs and second-skin comfort, they are every bohemian’s dream. Here I come, Coachella!

If you’re anything like me, you probably keep every single reusable shopping bag ever given to you. I probably have 20+ Free People cloth bags, a handful of Urban Outfitters reusable totes, and basically anything with a cute logo that can be used again. I especially love using these bags for my shoes when I travel. I’m a hoarder when it comes to shoes and I get paranoid about any types of scuffs or squishing when I throw em in a suitcase, so every shoe always gets it’s own little cloth bag. Recently I’ve been getting more creative with my reusable totes and have been using them in my gift wrapping. During my last trip to Vegas I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Patricia Wolf, a western lifestyle designer who makes AMAZING clothing and accessories that are a perfect mix of boho and western. Her belts especially caught my eye, it took me about an hour to decide which one to purchase. I would have snatched them all up if I could! Spotlight on Squaresville Vintage in Los Feliz

In search of some vintage threads for our American Hustle themed party, I took Justin to one of my favorite vintage stores in Los Angeles. This store has some of the best hand-picked items from all eras. In the years that I’ve been shopping at Squaresville, I’ve found amazing 80’s lamé dresses, 60’s bohemian wrap dresses, a Celine belt, sundresses, fringe sweaters…all from $10-$30. I especially love their selection of men’s button-ups. So many rad cowboy prints, paisleys and polyester geometrics like the one Justin purchased above.Continue reading…

NYE in Polaroids

Our second annual NYE party in Polaroids

Things guaranteed at our house parties: lots of booze, vegan grub, super awesome people, mannequins, a photo booth and Polaroids! It’s always nerve-racking planning a party, hoping we’ll get a solid turn-out. I’m proud to say we had about 25 guests counting down the ball to midnight in our family room this year, not bad!
