The fairytale ending to finding the perfect mirror.
I found the perfect statement mirror for my new bathroom. Determined to get it home (after I didn’t measure the inside of my car correctly and no one with a large enough vehicle was available to help), I resorted to strapping it to my car. Luckily I had a few yoga mats in the trunk, and some help from a seasoned furniture mover. It survived the haul from West Hollywood to Sherman Oaks!
I purchased this amazing mirror from Nora Santora (nyorai63@yahoo.com), a vendor at the Melrose Trading Post. She does all of the restoration and painting of the pieces. Her house AND garage are filled with vintage mirrors, wall pieces and shabby chic furniture.
The Melrose Trading Post (which happens every Sunday) is my favorite place to find vintage, unique, arts-and-crafty items for my home. I love supporting local artists and vendors, luckily it’s easy to do in LA!
