Vegan Tempeh Reuben

Enjoy the reuben, excuse the spelling!

vegan-tempeh-reuben-recipe-vegetarian 20

Something about when I write something larger than life I tend to overlook the obvious. My photoshop skills are nowhere good enough to switch around those letters, but I guarantee the skills in the kitchen used to make this dish of vegan heaven way out weigh my cover photo mishap. Better than your favorite vegan restaurant reuben (and non vegan reuben) this sandwich will most certainly satisfy your comfort food cravings…Continue reading…

Hippie Chick

“…Fearless women with open minds, hearts and ears, listening and living to be rocked.” – Edith Johnson

BohoBunnie

As I write this I’m traveling to San Francisco to celebrate the release of Jay Blakesberg’s newest rock photography book, Hippie Chick. Such a serendipitous serious of events led to tomorrow night’s festivities at Terrapin Crossroads. As you may know Justin and I have taken our fair share of “Phish-cations” and other music festival inspired trips. We have always admired Jay’s incredible work photographing our favorite bands and just this past summer Justin reached out to Jay. Through the magic of social media, we all connected when Jay released his book Hippie Chick. Immediately I knew I had to feature his work on Boho Bunnie…being a musician, concert-goer and obviously a hippie chick myself, this book speaks to me in so many ways. After meeting Jay in person on a book signing stop in LA, he graciously invited me to perform in an all female-fronted band he put together for a show on November 16th at Terrapin Crossroads for his official book release party. I couldn’t be more honored to perform!Continue reading…

And the secrets that we shared, the mountains that we moved.

BohoBunnie

Bold embroidery, metallic ribbon, and playful cotton prints. If you haven’t noticed it’s been a week of posts from one of my absolute favorite bohemian designers, Pachamama Bohemian. The bold purple peppermint wheel ribbon that divides and trims the cut of the dress is so perfectly paired with bright aqua print. The fun part about pairing items with Pachamama Bohemian is that really any color combination goes. Neutrals and neons, brights and metallics, they all somehow mesh together and create gorgeous combinations.Continue reading…

I want to rock your gypsy soul.

BohoBunnie

Beads, spice and everything nice. Pachamama Bohemian is full of mystic treasures to adorn your gypsy soul. Ancient coins, intricate bead work and stunning embroidery are all staples in Pachamama Bohemian’s shop. I’ve been a huge fan of her designs since I started the blog, and I must say a good portion of my closet is dedicated to her amazing threads. A little boho, a little gypsy and a little rockstar all in one. Her clothes couldn’t define me more perfectly.Continue reading…

Over the hills and far away…

There’s nothing like a gorgeous and comfortable maxi dress. One you can dress up, dress down, give it a western flair or an ultra luxe gypsy vibe. While white cotton is normally reserved for summer, this prairie dress from Pachamama Bohemian has me seeing white all year round. I was so excited to finally wear this vintage belt of my aunt’s that I’ve been eyeing for the past five years. During my trip to Michigan this summer, my aunt Moodge generously gifted me her most amazing vintage feather belt that I couldn’t help but ask for every time I visited. I’m thrilled to finally share this treasure on my blog and pair it with a dress from one of my all time favorite bohemian designers.Continue reading…

Keeping a year round glow with Eco Tools.

BohoBunnie

Those summer months of travel, beaches, & music festivals can take a toll on your skin. Wanting to keep my skin fresh and glowing in the dry, winter months ahead requires a little extra prep to transition into the cooler seasons. Just as important as hydration, exfoliation is key in keeping skin extra smooth. In the cooler seasons It’s easy to throw on a pair of pants over dry skin and forget about hydration, but nothing makes me feel better about my body than silky smooth skin. Eco Tools makes two must-have products for skin prep to keep you glowing like you just walked off the beach.Continue reading…

LA Fashion Week

Susan G. Komen for the Cure Fashion Show

With my crazy busy double life as a musician and blogger, I was excited to be able to make it to at least one LA fashion week event this fall! Living in one of the biggest fashion meccas (and starting my own clothing line in this very city) I had grand plans of attending inspiring runway events, after parties and the like during one of the biggest weeks for the LA fashion scene. I was honored to be invited to this special runway show that benefited Susan G. Komen for the Cure. A handful of local businesses showcased their clothing lines, beauty products and even a few gourmet food goodies. This fashion show happened to be on one of those days where I went from rehearsal to recording session, to appointment, to photo shoot and then finally the event. When I’m running all over LA, the one thing I absolutely don’t leave home without is a full water bottle. Core Hydration does it right with pH balanced water in two extremely convenient sized bottles. Even on my longest days ever I can sustain energy without 5 lattes! Continue reading…

Night Moves

Ain’t it funny how the night moves.

BohoBunnie

Hollywood nights. Just as the temperature has started to break, California evenings call for the perfect little moto jacket. Project Gravitas has created my personal favorite in a vegan leather version. Just a shade away from black, this dusted midnight color breaks up an all-black look and stays neutral enough to mix with prints. Day to night, business to party, this staple will last you years to come.Continue reading…
