Western wear for the summer

June 17, 2013

Bright shorts and cool plaid make a great summer combo

I am absolutely loving this plaid shirt right now! I’ve been on the search for the perfect summer plaid to take with me on tour this summer, and I finally found one at Free People. In fact, all three clothing items featured in the post are from Free People. If you’re in the market for cut-off shorts, you have to check these out! They come in a range of bright pastel colors and are just long enough to cover your entire booty without any worries of showing a little too much backside. A little higher waisted than I’m normally attracted to, but they fit the waist so well, I feel comfortable wearing them with a cropped top or bandeau.

Don’t you just LOVE this lace bra top from Free People?! The back is super sexy and looks awesome with strappy dresses. It has extra fabric in all the right places…you could wear it alone without a cover-up:)

I am so excited to share these earrings with you!! This super cute company I found on Etsy, City and the Fawn, makes awesome boho-inspired jewelry at such reasonable prices! The blue in the quartz and turquoise seed beads are the perfect compliment to each other. I ordered these earrings and a necklace which I’ll feature in a later post…look at the handmade card that came with the jewelry! So thoughtful and creative!!

The boots are the PERFECT cowboy boots for summer and hot climates. They’re actually vegan! My mom found these for me and shipped them to me while I was staying in Vegas–she has awesome taste! While I don’t think this style is available anymore, you can find the brand Big Buddha at Von Maur or Nordstrom.

I love the scenery here! Justin and I shot some video of me playing fiddle here…can’t wait to share it in a future post!
