Radiant Bohemian Glow

Boho hair and summer glow with Eco Tools.

Living in the San Fernando Valley in the summer is like unwillingly stepping into my Bikram Yoga studio on any given day. Sweating is inevitable and at this time in the year all my hair and makeup routines always need to be adjusted. A glistening face isn’t always necessarily bad…that fresh off the beaches in Malibu look is always a good thing and taking advantage of your natural glow is that way to go during the summer. Adding a bronzed look to your makeup routine with Eco Tools and a little extra boho twist to your hair will keep your summer glow in check.

I use the EcoTools Stippling Brush to apply a lightweight foundation. It’s a perfect base for a bronze glow. Dab a little concealer under your eyes and and down your nose for an extra highlight. The Stippling Brush is the perfect tool for blending it all out for a seamless, natural finish.

Besides mascara the other product I cannot live without: bronzer. Having a natural sunkissed glow can perk up your skin in any situation. EcoTools Angled Kabuki Brush is the softest and most effective bronzing brush ever! Using it with a glowing bronzer is the perfect combination for a soft finish on summer skin. I use bronzer along my hairline, sculpting cheeks, and even just a little below my lower lip to make my lips pop. An all-over swipe at the end distributes a nice, even glow.

The Tapered Blush Brush blends a your favorite summertime peach blush into your bronzed cheeks.

For a fresh summer eye, I use the same facial bronzer on my eyelids. The EcoTools Eye Enhancing Duo Set does the trick. The flatter side of this brush gently sweeps bronzer or other shadows from lash line to crease.

The fluffy side of the same brush (super convenient) is what you’ll need to apply a matte dark brown shadow to just the outer corners of the eyes, giving the look a little more dimension.

I’m a gel liner junkie. Sometimes I let the liner stand alone and other times I’ll smudge it in with a matte brown or purple for a smokey eye. For this look, keeping it fresh is better so a sleek black line is the perfect finishing touch. The angled liner brush is pairs with gel liners so well! It’s hard to mess up a line with this little guy.

A little mascara and sheer peachy nude lip gloss finishes the look.

I’ve been a big fan of Eco Tools makeup brushes recently and just discovered the amazing hairbrush collection they have too! My hair is super fine so anything that makes my life easier when detangling, blow drying or styling wins in my book.

The EcoTools Smoothing Detangler Brush is not only the best detangler, it doubles as a wide backcombing brush. I always back comb the crown of my head for a little extra volume, regardless of how I’m styling my hair that day.

The EcoTools Full Volume Styler is amazing for blow drying but also to loosen up any waves that are sticking together.

Twisting hair is WAY easier than braiding. I’m pretty low maintenance when it comes to styling my hair so braids aren’t necessarily the easiest things for me to do. Simple twists can be wrapped around your head and look just as fresh as a braid.

I love leaving my loose braids and twists open at the bottom instead of securing them. You can add a little bit of hairspray to the ends to hold it and let it blend into the loose waves.

Thanks for the tips! I have thick, wavy hair and I live in a very humid environment (bad combo!) and I love the idea of twisting my hair rather than braiding it to keep it under control.
