When boho gets a steampunk makeover.
Honestly, I think this whole steampunk idea started with a quest for a top hat. I’ve seen them pop up in some couture shoots and have been lusting over a vintage broken-in velvet top hat that looks like it had could lived its life making music with Slash. Oh the stories that hat could tell. Since this icon of steampunk culture hasn’t quite made the mainstream market, it’s taken a little time to work one into my wardrobe. It’s really pretty awesome how things work out sometimes…shortly after I acquired said top hat, I had the pleasure of meeting up-and-coming Vegas jewelry desinger, Rachel Anderson. Rachel’s company, In Her Drawer, creates stunning boho jewels infused with just a little bit of steampunk. I knew her style would be perfect for this look!
This little watch gear ring is so unlike anything else I own. Paired with the antique tag and key necklace is so perfect. What I love about her style is that I can totally play around with the vibe of her jewelry and match it to basically any style I’m wearing. Check out a post here where this tag and key necklace gets the ultimate bohemian treatment.
Seriously this lace collar is to die for. It’s super sexy dressed up, but I’ve been wearing it completely dressed down too with a simple deep-v tee. Delicate little vintage chains woven into the lace give it just a little edge. So beautifully designed with quality craftsmanship. The attention to detail is outstanding!
In Her Drawer makes truly unique pieces of wearable art. Using repurposed antiques make these pieces one-of-a-kind treasures.
