Love Lock Bridge

Locked with love.

Four years have flown by so fast. If you don’t know the story behind hour our relationship started, it’s actually pretty damn cute. Justin and I have know each other since we were 12 years old. We met at a summer camp where I was the “junior counselor.” Our first kiss should have been in a tent playing spin the bottle, but unfortunately I refused the kiss claiming that I had to uphold my duties as a counselor. During the next six years we passed notes in the hallway, talked on the phone til all hours, went to shows together, but never dated. It took 10 years after high school to randomly reconnect in a park in Los Angeles. Two years after that we moved into our home in Sherman Oaks, and just 18 months ago started our adventures in the blogosphere. Just a few weeks ago Justin planned a special surprise of a custom love lock on a bridge in Atwater Village for our four year anniversary. Going through my photo shoots of the past year, I can’t believe all of the absolutely amazing companies I’ve worked with. I am forever grateful of the ones that took a chance with me in the first couple months of me starting the blog, and so thankful for the most recent companies who have chosen to work with me over the thousands of other fashion bloggers. Besides the awesome visual content that we get to produce, doing these photo shoots has become meaningful artistic collaboration that Justin and I get to share. As some of you may know, we both work in the entertainment industry but in different fields. Las Vegas.

Vegas has been my second home for the past 2+ years. This past Halloween weekend I was actually there for a vacation and not work. Don’t get me wrong, my job is amazing and I actually consider it a work-cation, but there’s something to be said when your only obligation over a 3-day weekend is to make it to an 8 pm show to party your booty off. We snuck in a little extra time for a photo shoot right outside my favorite venue in Vegas…Brooklyn Bowl. Only fitting that I wore my Stevie Ray Vaughn hat and vintage Nirvana tee. Clutch lust.

I am so in love with this oversize clutch from Pachamama Bohemian. It can easily hold my laptop, iPad or the millions of other things that float around in my purses, but most importantly is a killer statement piece that can be paired with just about anything. I’ve carried it with jeans and a white tee, daisy dukes and boots, and now my favorite look with a black maxi. I totally scored with this maxi from a sample sale in downtown LA…a new weekly sample sale discovery I made when shooting a music video a few weekends back. Tunics and boots. This has been my go-to combo for the summer. They’re so easy to slip on and run out the door looking completely put together. Adding large, bright colored accents make it even more fun and polished. I’ve been lusting over everything with tiny coin accents, mini mirrors, beads and hand embroidered patterns. For Love and Lemons Red Precioso

This dress. I’ve been hunting this dress down since February when For Love and Lemons released this ethereal beauty on their Instagram. My boyfriend was on a mission to find this for me for Valentine’s day, then my birthday, then Easter, and finally we were able to snatch one up just in time for summer solstice. The day it came in the mail I honestly didn’t believe I actually owned it! There’s something about anything off the shoulder that I’m just obsessed with right now. There’s nothing like slipping into a delicate summer sundress and feeling the warmth of the sun trickle through the thin layer of fabric. If you were stranded in the desert and could only wear three things what would it be? Fringe, lace and studs. I don’t know what more I can ask for in an ensemble.
