Falling for fairy-like chiffon

BohoBunnie

My sandals are slowly being packed away as the end of September rolls around and my collection of boots and booties are now the center of attention. I’m pairing them with everything from shorts and flannels to gorgeous fall transition pieces like this amazingly versatile chiffon maxi from Naveda Couture. The layers of movement in this piece literally make me feel like a Disney princess–without all the unnecessary tulle. Amy Devan, the founder and designer of Naveda Couture, designs incredible bohemian luxe pieces. I’m especially in love with this blush colored maxi that can be worn as a skirt or a dress all year round! When the LA heat finally starts cooling down, I’ll be pairing this beauty with a little moto jacket. Continue reading…

Bright sun, trailers, guitars and a dress that’s fit for a country queen. I feel like I could walk right on stage with Kacey Musgraves wearing this western-vintage inspired dress from Pachamama Bohemian. Welcome to an afternoon filled with sunshine daydreams, vintage cameras, music and my favorite color, yellow.Continue reading…

Are flocking outside.

Oh, Johnny Was and your incredible tunic tops. Every tunic I own from this company I absolutely cherish. The fit, the ease, and the embroidery details are always on point. The bold colors against the black of this peacock tunic make this a rad transition piece for the end of summer into fall. Tunics are one of my favorite items to wear…with flared denim, as a dress, tucked into little shorts with cowboy boots, or more of a bohemian twist with some wide legged pants.Continue reading…

Summer Concert Beauty Vibes

The summer music scene with Eco Tools.

eco-tools-makeup-brushes-beauty-blogger-summer-smokey-eyes-tutorial-festival-0158

Summers with me and Justin are normally planned around attending music events. Last summer’s big trip was Jazz Fest in New Orleans, the year before was the Gorge in Washington to camp and see Phish, and this summer’s big concert-cation was the Grateful Dead Fare Thee Well shows in Chicago. We did also get a weekend of Coachella in this year but it was a little different because it was a weekend of performing for me. From being in all types of weather…unshaded 110 degree heat, muggy and rainy, and beautiful 70 degree evenings, I’ve learned to be prepared for anything when it comes to styling. Keeping it quick and simple (especially when you’ve got a whole group of guys waiting on you to get ready to go to a show) is key. Smooth waves and a summer smokey eye is my go-to look that’s so easily done with Eco Tools hair brushes and travel make up brushes.Continue reading…

Hello ruby in the dust…

Right out of a dream, this beautiful white stallion let me ride him through the sand and into the sunset. Not minding at all that we wove ribbons and frayed fabric into his braided mane. Adorned in Billi Blues, Pachamama Bohemian & Spell Designs, this bohemian beauty was the perfect model to accompany me for the evening. From falling in love with Harry the horse during the photo shoot, I have promised myself to someday have a horse of my own. It’s so unbelievably calming to escape the real world and spend an afternoon or an evening riding. The magic of this incredible evening was captured by fashion and boudoir photographer, Karen Stewart.Continue reading…

DIY Henna painting with Earth Henna

Believe it or not I don’t have a single tattoo. As an artist and musician you would think by know I would have accumulated a couple over the years. While I LOVE tattoos on other people I’m actually completely terrified of having a piece of artwork permanently placed on me. As a non-permanent option it surprisingly took me this long to play around with henna. With lots of henna inspired clothing prints, home decor (even the amazing cruelty-free carved skull above that I’m completely obsessed with) it’s about time I decided to try it out on myself. With this SUPER easy to use DIY henna kit, that can even be refrigerated and used again weeks later, I created some really rad body art that only requires a week’s commitment.Continue reading…

Soaring colors at Coachella.

Photographer

Whenever someone asks me my favorite color, I always have a difficult time answering. There are so many shades of gorgeous magentas, oranges, reds, turquoise and yellows, it’s just so hard to choose one. While I was packing my suitcase for Coachella, I was so inspired by the vivid vintage print of this maxi skirt from Shabby Babe Vintage. Floral prints from the 60’s and 70’s are hands down my favorite. Something about the colors being so simple but bright without blinding neon. These rad prints in the form of a maxi skirt is the perfect combination. Paired with a little crop top and statement necklace, these are not only my festival staples but go-to summer threads.

Music, fashion, sleep, repeat.

I love when my two worlds of being a working musician and a fashion blogger collide. It is really one in the same, they’re both super artistic avenues where I get to express myself creatively but when I get to shoot and blog around musical performances that I do, it makes it that much more special to me. I got to perform at my first Coachella experience and it was only fitting to curate my festival fashion around my performances. It was a true magical weekend of music and fashion and I was honored to be onstage and a part of so many people’s Coachella experience.Continue reading…

What’s in your festival stash?

Photographer

Just one week from right this moment I and will be on my way to Coachella! If you’re at the festival either weekend come watch me perform with EDM artist Oliver Heldens! I’ve been busy styling our wardrobe for the show, and preparing music and recordings this week so I finally got the chance to start pulling pieces together for my Coachella packing. Every festival girl needs a useful but stylish piece to keep all her sundries. It can’t get better than this with a Sakroots canvas backpack that coverts into a should bag and a smart phone cross-body carrier, all in super cute boho print! I’m loving brights mixed with neutrals right now and these colors go perfect with my neutral staples…Bed Stu platforms, Billi Blues feather Jaguar Paw, and Pachamama Bohemian gypsy jewels.Continue reading…

Many dreams come true, and some have silver linings…

Bohemian dream pieces…just in time for festival season. Festival fashion is hardcore on my mind right now, especially after getting the word that I’ll be performing at Coachella this year! Not only do I get to style our stage outfits, but now I’ve gotta plan some serious bohemian ensembles. All of these pieces are festival must-haves and are super easy to add to any boho look. My suitcase planning is already happening and these pieces are absolutely taking the journey to Indio with me!Continue reading…

Play me some mountain music…

genuine-june-designs-novella-royale-for-love-and-lemons-free-people-boho-jewelry BBZ_6807

It’s fun to be king of the hill. Err, I guess queen of the hill. I love driving through the Hollywood hills or the streets of Laurel Canyon and picking out my next amazing dream home. There are so many hidden gems built right into the mountainside that I would have never known about had we not gone exploring for photo locations. On a clear day you can see the entire city, the mountains AND the ocean. It really can’t get much better than that. The natural stones of these gorgeous jewels from Genuine June Designs are so fitting for a mountaintop view.Continue reading…

Boho Bunnie Love in Venice

Boho Bunnie

Surprisingly after over seven years of living in Los Angeles this was my first visit to the Venice Canals. It couldn’t be more picturesque…the perfectly manicured shrubbery framing the eclectic and colorful homes, the miniature paddle boats and canoes, and the gorgeous arched bridges that rise over the canals about each quarter mile. With groups of tourists walking through by the dozens, privacy sure can’t be your main concern if you choose to live here. But wow, that’s definitely something I would consider sacrificing to live in a canal front home. The November colors of the canals couldn’t be more fitting and romantic for this Pachamama Bohemian shawl and Duke of Jahan body chain.Continue reading…
