Wild Horses

Wild, wild horses we’ll ride them some day

Our final evening at Rancho V. Nothing could be more serene than the desert at dusk. Carefully tiptoeing barefoot through the gravel and fallen cactus needles we made our way to the highest point of the ranch to catch the sun dipping below the Sawtooth Mountains of Pioneertown. The only thing missing from this picturesque scene was a herd of wild horses galloping in the distance. Running across the bottom of my dress is one of the most beautiful graphics printed on a clothing item. Designer Christian Cox brilliantly placed this ethereal black stallion along the hemline of this gorgeous chiffon halter dress. It almost looks as if it emerges from the evening desert shadows. Neutral beaded jewels and Native American inspired designs from Boho Global add the most perfect complement.Continue reading…
On the Border

Oh oh I’m out on the border, I’m walking the line

The best way to wear a classic rock tee? As a deep v, Brazilian cut one piece of course. Christian Cox, the brilliant designer behind the brand Mouth seriously makes the raddest rock clothing that’s incredibly sexy but remains rocker cool. My first design from Christian that I own is the Grateful Dead Steal Your Face one piece that I still get inquires from even two years after I posted it on Boho Bunnie! Probably one of the most coveted items on my blog. By itself or layered under some high-waisted flares, it’s a no brainier wardrobe staple. I love pairing white on white with an eagle pendant necklace and cuff from Boho Global. Frolicking on the grounds of Pappy and Hariett’s in Joshua Tree, we survived a true desert wind storm on our first shoot of our desert trip.Continue reading…
The Bowery Vault

East Nashville Rock Fashion

During my three week trip to the Midwest this month I made my way down to Nashville for my second visit to music city. Because of the music I play, I feel more and more drawn to this city so every chance I’m in the region I’m making it a point to visit. This trip I was fortunate enough to meet the owners of this rad little rock n roll boutique and listening room, The Bowery Vault, and shoot with a local Nashville photographer whose work I’ve been admiring for a while now. It’s not often that when I get to play dress up that I’m doing it with professional stylists. Most photo shoot prep consists of me turning my freshly organized bedroom into a monsoon aftermath of clothes and accessories. I had an absolute blast gettin a little edgy with the girls from The Bowery Vault in their mix of new and repurposed vintage stage wear. And what makes this place exceptionally cool is that it can be reserved for a private listening room in for small shows.Continue reading…
