Locked with love.
Four years have flown by so fast. If you don’t know the story behind hour our relationship started, it’s actually pretty damn cute. Justin and I have know each other since we were 12 years old. We met at a summer camp where I was the “junior counselor.” Our first kiss should have been in a tent playing spin the bottle, but unfortunately I refused the kiss claiming that I had to uphold my duties as a counselor. During the next six years we passed notes in the hallway, talked on the phone til all hours, went to shows together, but never dated. It took 10 years after high school to randomly reconnect in a park in Los Angeles. Two years after that we moved into our home in Sherman Oaks, and just 18 months ago started our adventures in the blogosphere. Just a few weeks ago Justin planned a special surprise of a custom love lock on a bridge in Atwater Village for our four year anniversary. He planned the whole shoot and even asked me to wear this adorably boho dress from Pachamama Bohemian and jewels from Vavavida.
This necklace and wire ring combo are just a few of the gorgeous pieces that Vavavida features. Their selection of boho jewels and accessories are all hand crafted and fairly traded. I love companies who support communities and the fair trade process! Both pieces are so easy to layer with other necklaces and rings or bold enough to wear solo.
This dress couldn’t be more carefree. I love how the light gently leaks through, and the breeze moves it so easily. And this rust red-orange is a must for fall colors this season.
I picked a central spot right next to the Hunny <3’s Bunny lock. How could I resist that?!

Happy Anniversary to my love and best friend, Justin Zangerle!

That dress is so carefree! I am insanely jealous as all I want is to run in a field with a pretty dress and it to be over 65 degrees so that this can happen. I don’t think 35 degrees is optimal for frolicking…. :/

Congratulations! What a romantic spot for an anniversary. I love your dress and I’ll have to check out Vavavida. I love sustainable lines. I hope you had a great celebration (and what a cute how-we-met story).
