A trip to Cristophe Salon, Beverly Hills

Fanesia Vienna is the guru of turning fine, limp, dry hair into brilliant, glossy, bouncy, vibrant locks. She’s been working as a stylist in Beverly Hills for some time but just recently relocated to Cristophe Salon in Beverly Hills.

Cristophe Salon is in the heart of Beverly Hills, nestled among amazing boutiques and cafes and just around the corner from the famous Rodeo Drive.  It’s actually a pretty large space compared to many of the salons in the neighbor hood and is decorated very posh and clean, a style you’d expect to see in a Beverly Hills salon.  I’m especially in love with the Marilyn Monroe bubble gum picture! And I can’t live without my Kerastase products…definitely a splurge but well worth it. Customer service is fabulous at Cristophe…I’m always greeted with my choice of cappuccino, tea, or champagne;)

About every 2 months I visit Fanesia to upkeep my red color.  Red is absolutely the hardest color to maintain, and since my hair is super fine Fanesia opts for semi-permanent color that will fade naturally before my next visit.  This is crucial so my baby-fine hair doesn’t fry or grows in with crazy roots.  Being the color perfectionist that she is, she always combines different colors to create the perfect red.

Can you tell Fanesia’s favorite color is pink? Ha!  Here’s the color in the bowl before it oxidizes.  After it’s been sitting out for a bit (and when it’s applied to the hair) you can see the color transform into a shade of red.

A quick before shot and then during the dying process.

This brush at the top will probably blow your mind!  It’s called the Tangle Teezer and is the best brush I’ve ever used to brush out tangles.  Great for after the shower and also the best thing to comb knotted hair extensions!

A trick everyone should do for adding volume…always flip your hair and shoot it with some cool air out of your hair dryer to set your style:)

And the most important shots…the before and afters. Don’t you just love this shade of red??!! Check back soon for Fanesia’s tutorials about how to pick out clip-in hair extensions, how to put them in, and how to style!  We had an awesome time shooting footage last week and I can’t wait to share!  And be sure to check out Friday’s Five feature on both Coffee Beans and Bobby Pins and FACE IT CATALOG. Also YOLO Mondays over at Lipgloss and Crayons!  Awesome way to link up with other bloggers:)

I JUST dipped my toes into the redhead pool yesterday with some red highlights & lowlights. As a blonde with fine hair, I’m interested to see how long the red stays put. Us hair color minorities have to stick together! 😉

Awesome! It’s all about washing it as LITTLE as possible. I’ve dabbled into the world of dry shampoos…if you find a good one for redheads, let me know!
