Picture perfect brows by Los Angeles’ brow diva, Kelley Baker.
Last week I had the pleasure of visiting Kelley Baker Brows studio in Venice, California. After seeing various brow artists in Los Angeles over the past six years, I have definitely found the expert! Not only is Kelley a brow shaping genius, she also has an amazing product line so that you can recreate at home what she does in the salon.
I walked into the salon with some slightly over-grown and scraggly brows. Also a little too heavy lined and kinda uneven in regards to shape. I like keeping my brows thick and Kelley is a pro a keeping your brows looking full.
A close-up of before.
This photo above is right after the wax and trim. I love how she enhanced my arch, my eyes look so much brighter!
The next step in the process is using the magic stick highlighter pencil. True to it’s name, a little bit goes a long way! The highlighter smudge brush makes this the perfect combo.
Using her fingers to make my skin taught, Kelley flawlessly smudges the highlighter up to the brow line to create perfect definition.
The next two products are the angled spooly brush and the brow powder. She actually chose the brow powder in blonde, which I would have never thought! She was dead on because after looking at the before and afters, I realized my brows were looking just a little too dark.
Using the brush side, she’s able to control the angle of the brow hairs. I’ve never done this before in my own beauty routine, but it such a good step in creating a polished look. Super convenient that this brush is two-in-one!
Using an upwards motion with the angled brush, Kelley fills in my brows to create the perfect shape!
And the final step…another beauty trick that I was totally unaware of until now…clear mascara for your brows! This holds in not only the brow powder color, but also the precise grooming. Brow Diva? Absolutely!
Love the decor in her Venice studio…so bright and fresh!
A definite arch artist, Kelley is THE brow specialist. I’ll see you in a month, thanks Kelley!!
