Moonlighting as a chalkboard artist

Life is Beautiful Festival, Las Vegas.

Moonlighting as something in Vegas seems like it may be a pretty common career choice. Working full time as a musician, I don’t always have the time to work as a visual artist, but just last week on one of my days off here in Vegas, I got called to create all of the signage for the Alchemy Gardens at the Life is Beautiful Festival! For being the premier year of this festival, they brought is some pretty amazing acts including Beck, Kings of Leon, Pretty Lights, Alabama Shakes, and The Killers. An all weekend celebration of music, food, beverage and art, I was honored to be asked to paint over 60 chalkboard signs!

They had a pretty ammmmazing selection of wine, craft beer and specialty cocktails. No drinking on the job though!;)

I’m curious about this LOVE potion…looks so tasty!

This looked super hip during the day, but the night vibe was incredible! Strands of Edison lights, craft beer, quality wine and old-timey cocktails set the mood perfect.

Hendrick’s Gin cider with Lillet and hand-shaved nutmeg. I will most definitely be recreating this at home!

Love this support for “Movember!” They offered a fresh shave on the spot.

Super Heady Vegan Tacos?!?! Um that’s a no-brainer;)

I feel so honored have been a part of the production of this amazing festival! I had a show myself both Saturday and Sunday nights so I wasn’t able to make any concerts, however, I did get to hear Kings of Leon soundcheck while I was painting my signs:) Congrats Vegas on an awesome festival, looking forward to next year!
