Keepin it simple in primary colors
I’m a sucker for bright and bold colors, but normally I pair magentas, shades of blues, neon-pastels and earth tones. When picking out accessories to go with this new dress, I was naturally drawn to the primary color palate which is totally unlike much of my wardrobe. But there’s something about the simplicity and the contrast that really convinced me to stick with red, blue and yellow (in this case gold). Maybe my newly dyed red locks had something to do with that:)
So about this amazing boho jewelry that I came across…it’s a shop that you MUST check out! Bent by Courtney makes GORGEOUS bohemian inspired jewelry. Courtney makes all of the jewelry herself (and, yes, she’s available for custom design!) and it’s all super affordable. Her jewelry has a tribal influence with the simplicity of beach living. I think that sums up my taste in jewelry exactly! Bent by Courtney has earrings, rings, necklaces and bracelets that transition easily from a casual daytime t-shirt and jeans look to an evening out as a rockin’ bohemian goddess. Make sure you follow Bent by Courtney on facebook, instagram, and pinterest for promotions on her jewelry line!
OK, so how cute are these bracelets with this bag? The stitching in the purse goes PERFECTLY with the mini chevron beads. I snatched this bag up from Nordstrom when I was in Las Vegas in the spring, but about a month ago discovered the entire line of Cut n’ Paste bags online! Created here in LA, Cut n’ Paste bags make the most awesome fringe purses and satchels you will every come across. This is just one of their mini purses…I’m dying to get my hands on a larger one!
So which beatle are you feelin’… yellow or red? Before I got my license, a vintage yellow VW bug was my dream car!
I must give a shout out to my friends Clair and Jamie at Boho 72 for picking out this Elan dress for me (actually a shirt, but I like ’em short). Check out a recent post if you want to find out more about their shop! They have impeccable taste!
These earrings are so easy to wear…perfect weight and design.

I agree–great earrings! The whole boho look is fantastic. And the vintage VWs are a great accessory/backdrop. I’m a big fan of boots and dresses (unfortunately in Seattle this time of year, tights are a must).
