Yoga at dusk.

Photographer

I really can’t believe it’s been seven years almost to the day since my first yoga class. I was taken to my first Bikram class by a good friend of mine on Memorial Day in 2008. In an extremely crowded, sweaty and insanely hot room, I was in disbelief that all these yogis showed up multiple times a week to put themselves through this type of torture. And the same 26 postures? What was the point? Just three months later I was feeling a little out of shape and decided to go to the very class that would kick my ass the most. From that day forward, I was hooked. That moment you walk out of the studio with an extreme sense of self, eased mind and “yoga high,” you know every second of class was absolutely worth it. If life allowed it, I would go to yoga every day. When I can’t make it to the studio I try to keep my practice up at home. Yoga inspired clothing that transition from the studio to home by Hooked Productions are perfect for any yoga lover.Continue reading…

A desert mirage.

Photographer

You would think I traveled to Thailand and back last weekend. One day I’ll make my way across the globe but in the meantime I found a little desert oasis in the middle of Indio, California. Compared to an Indonesian trip this place is basically in my back yard. To put you in perspective of a 180 degree change of scenery, Desert Dweller was shot just 5 miles from here! I’m in love with this new designer, Liberty Garden, and their simple designs with unique touches. This little black suede dress can go from global bohemian to rockin western with just a few accessory changes. I’m walkin out the door later with this little number and my favorite cowboy boots! The cut out fringe on the neckline just asks for layers of necklaces like this rad piece from LA Hip Threads or you can keep it simple and go sans jewels. Any way you do it, it rocks!Continue reading…

 Ruins & dunes.

Photographer

Driving through Indio on our way to Coachella, there was a little pull-off that caught our eye. An almost completely demolished structure stood out perfectly in the sand just asking to be photographed. There were only a few knee high fences that we had to jump to enter the ever expansive run of dunes that I’ve only imagine existed in movies. The beautiful pure white sand only rivals the sand of some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve visited in the Gulf of Mexico. A perfect fit for a few of my favorite bohemian western pieces…my handmade leather belt by Real Leather Stuff and cow skull necklace by Illuminare Boutique. Continue reading…

Showcasing Noa Elle’s summer collection.

Last month I had the wonderful opportunity to work with a favorite LA designer of mine, Noa Elle. I’ve featured their gorgeous designs a few times on my blog (Meet Me at the Rodeo & Daisy Chain) and now I got to be a featured model for their summer collection! The mixture of lace, chiffon and other fabrics is spot on for all you boho summer bunnies. The prints, the colors and the cuts of the designs fall so perfectly into place and have such an effortlessly sexy style.Continue reading…

Pachamama Bohemian

Enter the world of design goddess, Pachamama Bohemian.

Photographer

I can’t begin to explain how lucky I am to have built up wonderful friendships over the course of my two years of blogging! Not knowing exactly what I was getting into, I would seek out companies with a similar small start-up fan base that encompassed the same lifestyle and designs that I would only dream of owning. Pachamama Bohemian and I were completely drawn to each other. It was the start of an amazing collaboration that I’m sure has many more years to come! On a recent visit to Florida I had them amazing opportunity of finally getting to met in person the creative genius behind Pachamama Bohemian. Val dreams up insanely gorgeous and authentic bohemian dresses, purses, shawls kimonos, and jewels that have a true global feel but made to fit comfortably into anyone’s wardrobe. I couldn’t speak more highly of her designs and sense of style!Continue reading…

Soaring colors at Coachella.

Photographer

Whenever someone asks me my favorite color, I always have a difficult time answering. There are so many shades of gorgeous magentas, oranges, reds, turquoise and yellows, it’s just so hard to choose one. While I was packing my suitcase for Coachella, I was so inspired by the vivid vintage print of this maxi skirt from Shabby Babe Vintage. Floral prints from the 60’s and 70’s are hands down my favorite. Something about the colors being so simple but bright without blinding neon. These rad prints in the form of a maxi skirt is the perfect combination. Paired with a little crop top and statement necklace, these are not only my festival staples but go-to summer threads.

Music, fashion, sleep, repeat.

Photographer

I love when my two worlds of being a working musician and a fashion blogger collide. It is really one in the same, they’re both super artistic avenues where I get to express myself creatively but when I get to shoot and blog around musical performances that I do, it makes it that much more special to me. I got to perform at my first Coachella experience and it was only fitting to curate my festival fashion around my performances. It was a true magical weekend of music and fashion and I was honored to be onstage and a part of so many people’s Coachella experience.Continue reading…

The time is now, to sing my song.

Photographer

I feel like I’ve been around the world and back in the past two weeks. This was my first Coachella experience and I was fortunate enough that my first visit was because I was hired to perform both weekends. If you’ve been up on my Instagram account, I’m sure you’ve seen my ‘raving swan’ tutu get-up. A far cry from my bohemian wardrobe but it made for amazing visuals during our performance. Justin got to join me for the second weekend of the festival and I got to show him the ropes of the artist passes, watch some amazing bands side stage, and be my personal paparazzi on festival grounds. This is a little recap from the final hours of Coachella 2015.Continue reading…

Show some sock!

Photographer

Every girl knows that wearing hot lingerie under even the most simple outfit makes you feel ten times more amazing. Even if no one gets to see it. With my shoe obsession, and in particular boots, I’m always finding new “foot lingerie” to pair with my favorite kicks. Cats, owls, bugs, stripes, stars, ruffles, even Frida socks fill my sock drawer. No one wants to get caught with ugly socks, let alone mis-matched socks at a TSA screening. Bergies has you covered. Literally the sock mecca for any sock design ever created. To top it off, all the socks they carry are vegan too! Continue reading…
