Day two of Phish at the Gorge
It’s a morning of vegan flapjacks and “proper greyhounds.” (Gin and grapefruit, which by the way is a new favorite combo). The show the night before was absolutely amazing and with a slight hangover it’s only right to start the morning off to a little hair of the dog. Another round of drinks, a good meal on the ol’ Coleman propane stove and we’re set for day two stroll down shakedown street to see what type of shenanigans are happening today.
A little homemade sign to trade/sell tickets while we’re mingling.
Meet Sierra from Sumerian Sierra who makes these awesome floral headbands, and braided head wraps!
I had to pick one up. Unbelievably probably the most comfortable headband I own, you can wear it in your hair or across your forehead. Love it! And btw totally wish I could rock hair like Sierra’s…chicks with dreadlocks are so cool, but I could never commit!
And check out these rad half-bell bottoms! Also made by Sierra. I think I could build a pretty sweet outfit around these, I absolutely love the colors!
A little pit stop for some vegan curry…take note of the “as seen on PT.” I’m gonna geek out on you with this reference: PT stands for Phantasy Tour, a website that has stats, forums, and links for Phish and other major jam bands. If you just peruse around this website a little bit you can see how dorky us Phish fans can get! i.e. you can find out the percentage probability that you may hear your favorite Phish song at the next show! Maybe he’ll add “As seen on Boho Bunnie” on the next sign:)
Awesomely delicious! And for $5 you can’t beat it!
We came across William Hrdina, author of The Diary of Bobby Stoner, and Kenny G Must Die!! I did in fact name drop Kenny G (I shared a green room with him for an evening in Canada) so that’s what specifically drew me to William’s table. I haven’t actually read the book but it sounds super interesting! It’s a satire about music…and zombies where Keith Richards is the protagonist. Awesome.
Me and William chattin it up…and yes, he is the author:)
*Ultimate cookies…wonder what these are made with?!?
Justin trying to make a song request…looks like he got disconnected.
I don’t know if it’s the heat or the alcohol, but our pictures seem to get better and better as the day goes on:)
And speaking of booties, I had to ask this girl to take her pic…I LOVE her bikini/shorts combo with body jewelry!
Turns out the jewelry designer, Angela of Concrete Polish Jewels, was walking right next to her and I was able to grab her card. I wish I got a closer pic of the rings and necklaces! You MUST check out her website!! She describes her jewelry as bold, bewitching, rare and wearable. I would love to own a piece from Angela, check out one of my favorite look books from her site. Look for the back-draping necklace…incredible!
Nap time is required mid-day!
Group polaroid photo time! Justin brings out the big guns.
Our poor neighbors with their midget canopy. Shade at the gorge is about as necessary as water, and when your canopy breaks…well, it’s a sad day.
Back to the venue for the second night of Phish! And rockin my awesome flower crown from Sierra:)
Another magical trip to the Gorge! Two years to wait til our next Gorge trip! In the meantime, we’ve got four Phish shows left this summer. Had and amazing time with our friends sharing a campsite, food, drinks and memories…we’re all in this together making bathtub gin!
