A novel of two women living in different centuries connected by the world of fashion.
In the middle of New York and London fashion weeks, I’m excited to introduce you to a novel about the fashion industry, Astor Place Vintage. The author, Stephanie Lehmann, has a handful of novels under her belt about love, sex, marriage, fashion…all the good stuff:)
This book follows the lives of two women, both residents of NYC but living 100 years apart. Olive aspires to be a buyer for a retail store in 1907 (one of the highest paying jobs a woman could have at the turn of the century) and Amanda is the owner of a vintage store in 2007. The two women become connected when Amanda finds Olive’s diary in a vintage fur muff. By reading Olive’s journal, it sheds light Amanda’s current situations including an affair she is having with a married man. Sounds juicy, right?!
Now and then of Astor Place in NYC! 1869 and present day.
