A fire in the sky.
It has been a whirlwind week of self discovery, travels, meeting new friends and bonding old relationships. My unplanned trip to Las Vegas this past week proved to be more than I ever expected. I serendipitously met an amazing fashion photographer with the same passion for bohemian lifestyle. Meeting for the first time a few miles outside of the dry lake beds of Vegas, we instantly bonded and within minutes started setting off dozens of smoke bombs. The setting couldn’t have been more perfect…a beautiful hand painted winged scarf with layers of fringe and feathers on the cracked basin of the dried up lakes of Vegas.
The details on this Shovava scarf are just stunning. Roza, the Australian artist behind the art of this amazing scarf is not only a fashion designer but an incredible visual artist. You have to check out her website to see how she draws and paints her wing designs for the prints on her line!
Smoke bomb attempt no. 10.
As a scarf or a sarong, this beautiful piece
Forty smoke bombs and a few match burns later…
Layers of gypsy adornments.
After 3 days of 110 degree desert heat, the wind picked up, and the air cooled somehow just in time for our shoot. Sharing a bottle of wine through dusk, we watched desert lightning to the south, a full moon to the east, and Jupiter and Saturn align to the west. What an incredible experience.
