Pairing a delicate Free People dress with an edgy statement necklace
I absolutely love the combination of these two styles! When I was going through my closet to pick out accessories for this dress, it was actually my boyfriend who suggested this necklace! I scored this necklace on a recent trip to Urban Outfitters from their sale jewelry rack. I’m almost embarrassed to tell you how much I spent…$4.99! I’m not normally a large necklace kind of gal (I can’t hold my fiddle under my chin with a bunch of stuff around my neck, and most days revolve around me performing or practicing) but for this price I couldn’t pass it up.
All these shots were taken in one of the most amazing locations I have found to shoot…Calico Ghost Town, which is about half way between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. On my most recent run with Shania Twain, my wonderful and talented boyfriend joined me in Vegas towards the end of the run so he could drive back with me to LA. We’ve ALWAYS been meaning to stop at Ghost Town to take photos and this was the perfect opportunity to do it! You can see my other outfit post that he shot at Ghost Town in an earlier post.
I absolutely love how this dress drapes! The uneven and unfinished hemline falls at the perfect length, and the waist is just slightly above the hips which makes it flattering while still loose-fitting. The embroidery pattern on top is also very slimming how it imitates an hourglass figure. And I can’t live without my Clark’s booties! I have them in both brown and black and wear them with EVERYTHING! Just the right amount of height:)

That necklace is really cool. And using a violin as a prop with that outfit is really fun. Hope you have a great day.
