LA Fashion Council Runway show at the Grove, Los Angeles
I got just a slight glimpse of LA fashion week before heading to Vegas for the month. At my absolute favorite shopping area, the Grove in Los Angeles, the LA Fashion Council sponsored a collection of designers showcasing their spring 2014 designs. I had the privilege of sitting front row for the Katharine Kidd collection with my friend Carly of Lipgloss and Crayons.
Katharine’s inspiration for this collection stems from the secret garden. Flower motifs are huge in this collection, with the most prominent being the rose. I’m in love with the contour drawing print of the roses on the skirt above!
Along with the motif was the mix of neons and neutrals. I love that neon seems like it’s here to stay! And the playfulness of the fit and flare shape is so much fun.
I was able to capture most of her looks as the models made their way down the runway. My favorite color that she uses is that neon coral! And I would love to rock those rose printed pants bottom right:)
Loving that black zipper contrast and black trim on the neon green dress. Awesome attention to detail.
Happy fashion week from the LA fashion council!
And afterwards a brief hand at Top Shop…of course they strategically host the party in the shoe department;)
