Gypsy at dusk
I feel like I could never own too many kimonos. Sexier than a jacket and just the right amount of layering for summers in Los Angeles, they’re starting to rival my boot collection. Sheer, fringe, lace, tribal…they instantly turn any wearer into a 70’s bohemian goddess. The best accessory for these gypsy capes are large, long statement necklaces. I am absolutely loving Chains by Lauren, an amazing line of simple but edgy boho statement pieces.
This tassel necklace and earrings are so easy to wear, obviously perfect for my kimono fetish but equally as awesome over a v-neck and jeans.
Every time I wear this kimono I feel like I’m channeling my inner Stevie, who is the inspiration for the title of this post. (And the inspiration for half of my wardrobe:) In an interview with Courtney Love about the meaning of “Gold Dust Woman” Stevie Nicks said, “You know what, Courtney? I don’t really know what ‘Gold Dust Woman’ is about. I know there was cocaine there and that I fancied it gold dust, somehow. I’m going to have to go back to my journals and see if I can pull something out about ‘Gold Dust Woman.’ Because I don’t really know. It’s weird that I’m not quite sure. It can’t be all about cocaine.”
