Ruins & dunes.
Driving through Indio on our way to Coachella, there was a little pull-off that caught our eye. An almost completely demolished structure stood out perfectly in the sand just asking to be photographed. There were only a few knee high fences that we had to jump to enter the ever expansive run of dunes that I’ve only imagine existed in movies. The beautiful pure white sand only rivals the sand of some of the most beautiful beaches I’ve visited in the Gulf of Mexico. A perfect fit for a few of my favorite bohemian western pieces…my handmade leather belt by Real Leather Stuff and cow skull necklace by Illuminare Boutique.
How rad is this cow skull necklace from Illuminare Boutique!? Pictured perfectly in it’s element of desert dunes.
I have literally waited YEARS to wear this skirt. I picked it up at a vintage shop in Aspen Colorado in 2005 (almost a decade before founding Boho Bunnie) because I absolutely fell in love with it, but had no idea how to wear it. Hoarded away in the garage, I pulled this gem out for the summer.
Bed Stu and their immaculate collection of boots. Every single pair I am just in love.
This belt…so amazingly constructed with beautiful inlays, conchos and a heavy duty buckle that can adjust to your wait, hip, wherever you wish. On denim, skirts or dresses this has become a Boho Bunnie staple. The designer, Carol McCoy, has a gorgeous selection of all handmade leather products from her studio in Tennessee.
